Importing historical emails

Hello,

I am working on importing a csv of historical emails into sales hub from salesforce.

I keep running into duplication errors because I'm mapping to the Contact Record ID.

Is there a way I can import multiple emails for the same contact?

Which error exactly are you seeing? Could you please share a screenshot of your import file, blurring confidential information?

What objects are you importing and what are your import file headings?

Also how are you importing the file? It should be one file, multiple objects which would allow you to associate multiple emails with a contact record.

Hi,

I am using one file and adding/updating contacts and only adding new emails.

The fields that I am importing are:

- Email Address

- Record ID (Contacts)

- Salesforce Historical ID

- Company Name

- From Address

- Date

- Subject

- Direction

- Email Body

- Status

- Owner (Contact Owner)

The error I am recieving is duplicate unique property value for email.

Which option have you selected in this step of the import process?

You need to select multiple objects as you have contacts and historic emails.

I just tested this in my portal and it worked fine, see screenshots below.

Thanks for checking, Frank.

One of the issues I think I am running into is that the subject lines are the same because the emails are repeated but sent at different times.

I don't think so.

The error message you are seeing indicates that you are trying to import just one object, and the object is a contact. Therefore HubSpot will say "hey you just imported contact xzy with email xzy@abc-company.com. You can have multiple emails with the same subject, that wouldn't cause an error.

If you run a multi-object import HubSpot you are telling the import, it's fine because I am also importing another object that needs to be associated with the contact.
