can you track bulk email via Word to Outlook?

I am using MS Office 2021

I have my Database in Excel.

I create an email with graphics in Word which is linked to Outlook.

It will start sending all the emails at once from Word.

Outlook is connected to my Gmail account. This was done because It was easier to be able to do personalized emails through word and outlook versus Gmail.

I have the HubSpot Outlook add in set up. and I want to track who opens the email as last year I did not ahve tracking and don not know how many saw my email vs it go to spam

So is it possible to track with HubSpot this way?

Is there a way to be sure that tracking check box is always set?

Do I have to have my contacts uploaded to Hubspot if I want email tracking or will any email sent on my end be trackable?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

The HubSpot Sales Extension is not able to retroactively track emails that were opened prior to the installation of the extension on Outlook, Gmail or Office365. It can only track emails moving forward as long as you click on "track" and the email meets the tracking requirements.

I wanted to share this resource which explains how tracking and logging works, in addition to this guide: Understand HubSpot Email Open and Click Tracking.

Here is also a guide on how to customize your HubSpot Outlook Add-In You should be able to log and track every email by updating your "Log and Track" preferences in the Add-In settings. This section of the linked article explains how to update these preferences.

The comment above is curious because if it's not retroactive, why does HubSpot put in an old sent email a blind carbon copy link?

After installing the plug in for Outlook looking through the features, I had opened up an email in my sent box and see @bcc.hubspot in an email that I'm replying to from a year ago and have not uploaded any contacts or used HubSpot with this email address?

From what I can tell is that it's automatically going to track. Seems that the default was that it's always set to track and log.

I have not tried doing the bulk send from Word but assume . It should be automatically applied.
