@SMohan3 I'd also look into the tool Insycle to see if that might help. I'm a fan of their work. My friend @RBozeman shared this on another thread:

Here is a breakdown of how Insycle can help with deduplication for companies.

Using any field in your database as a matching field (company names, addresses, emails, phone numbers), not just IDs and company domains. This allows you to catch more duplicates.

While you can't deduplicate on import, you can set associations on import, which can help you to limit duplicates in the future.

What you can do is use Insycle's Recipes and integrate them directly with your HubSpot Workflows. Then, you can set it up so that as soon as new data hits your database, it is automatically deduplicated after that.

When you do merge records, you have complete control over the data that is retained in the master record on a field-by-field basis.

Hope that helps!

Hi HubSpot Community,

How do you deal with duplicate companies being created in HubSpot?

I know HubSpot de-duplicates companies based on their domain names but we have come accross several instances where the domain name is different but when I click open the domain, it redirects to a website that may already be in our system.

Does anyone else have this issue as well or know of a tool that integrates with HubSpot that can catch different domain names but pointing same website?

Thanks in advance

I'll look into it and chat with colleagues to see if we know of a solution. I wanted to at least acknowledge the question. If someone else has an answer first, I'll learn something too!

Thank you for taking the time to look into this 🙂

We do use Insycle for our imports already and it does a really good job of de-duplication for us but different domain names redirecting to the same website has been a problem.

We may probably need to scrape the domain names for website URLs and then import accordingly.
