Hi,

I'm new here and while I am still working with just a handful of customers (I am an independent insurance agency owner), I would like to set up my HubSpot so that I am set when the volume (keeping fingers crossed) increases.

Currently, I am creating my deals list that I have closed or did not win, but how do I add a renewal date for the deals I closed? Also is there a way to create an alert a month before the renewal date so I can reach out to the client?

There is an overwhelming amount of videos that I can't just figure out where to find instructions for what I am trying to build given my industry so if anyone can point me to some more directed videos/instructions/forums (which will save me time here and allow more time to work with clients) I would really appreciate it.

A renewal date field can be added like any other property. When creating a property, choose the date format. After creating the field, you can place it in the left deal sidebar for easy access.

If you want to automatically set this date based on another date property or if you would like to be reminded once this date approaches, workflows are needed (for the first part, the calculation, specifically Operations Hub Professional).

If you have a Professional subscription and need more detailed instructions, let me know. With a Starter subscription, this can't be done natively within HubSpot.

There might be ways to achieve this with a custom third party solution, for example Zapier. Zapier integrates with HubSpot and you could try to run the calculation and an email notification through Zapier.

We've built a Recipe to handle Renewals. A Recipe is a small process that you can install in your HubSpot portal. This doesn't require any third-party tool.

Renewal deals are created automatically for each closed-won deals with a known contract end date. Then, a task is generated with a reminder date XX days before that contract end date to notify the deal owner (or another user of your choice) that the renewal is coming soon.

Other settings and configurations are also available to suit your use case.
