Hi @CG1990

Thank you for your reply!

Except the requirements to use one or the other, the two add-ins essentially have the same functionnalities. As you're using a mac, I'd recommend using the O365 add-in (you do however need to have Office 365 as a email host) as the Outlook desktop add-in wouldn't work.

You can see more of the available functionnalities of this add-in here.

Thank you

Best

Hello all,

I've started to use and experiment with HubSpot CRM and Sales as a single user and use mostly my MacBook Pro to do it. Since there is no dedicated app for the macOS I am wondering what the best way and tools are to work with HubSpot on a Mac.

I saw many messages here on the community website exchanging ideas about Outlook. I tried it out, but didn't like it very much and went back to Airmail.

I'm using Chrome to access the HubSpot integration with my Gmail account but prefer to use Chrome as little as possible.

Are there so few HubSpot users out there that it isn't worthwhile to develop something specific for macOS?

Thank you for reaching out.

With a mac, you can either use the Office365 Add-In or the Chrome Extension, as you're already using. At this time there is no Airmail extension.

I'll tag some of our experts to see what are their toughts/tips on how to use HubSpot with a mac - @Josh @AdamLPW @Phil_Vallender do you have anything to share with @CrisRich on this?

I have the HubSpot Sales plugin sidebar in my Outlook for Mac - this appears to be the desktop add-in, even though it claims here that the offering is PC only. It does however say in the photo below that the HubSpot Sales plugin works in Outlook 2016 or later on Mac. Am I missing something here?

Cheers!

You can use Nativefier to turn hubSpot web app into an Electron-based macOS application. It has its limitations, but is much more convenient for me to use. Hope this helps.

I know you said that you prefer NOT to use Google Chrome BUT, there is a trick to save any website as a "shortcut," but actually it makes the site contained as an app that uses the Chrome browser. With these apps, you can "File Quit" them and drag them to your dock as well as TAB through open apps.

To do this, go to your Hubspot account, log in, go to the three dots in the top right of Chrome, and go to MORE TOOLS > CREATE SHORTCUT. Type in the name you want to use for the app from the popup window. In my case, I typed "HubSpot." IMPORTANT: Be sure to select "Open as window" This will compile the HubSpot site and package it as an app. It can now be found in your Applications Folder under Chrome Apps. Of course, you can move the app to wherever you like, even go far as adding your own custom icon (I did) :).

Refer to the screenshot attached, and I also included the icon I am using.

Hi, an easy way is via "Fluid". It creates a web app the way Chrome does. I chose another icon, but other that that you get the real experience!
