Activity Associated with Deals, Contacts, Companies

Hey everyone,

So I'm really struggling with setting up or CRM to show various activities logged on different objects (people/deals/companies) and having it globally visible.

What I mean for exmaple, is if there is a deal and we have an associated contact and we log mails on the contact, we'd like it to be visible on the deal and the company object. I keep "thinking" I have it set up corretclty, but when I look at deals I see nothing in the activity.

I've gone into the settings and I "think" I have it configured correctly - so any ideas on what I'm missing?

See screen shot for email, I feel once I get that displaying on Deals/Company object I'll be able to replicate it for Calls and other activies.

This article might help you understand how activities are logged and associated in HubSpot:

Key things to know:

Only emails sent or logged directly through HubSpot follow the automatic association settings.
Emails sent via the HubSpot sales extension (Gmail/Outlook add-ons) or logged via BCC/forwarding don’t automatically associate and need to be linked manually.
Activities only show on Deals, Contacts, and Companies if they’re explicitly associated with each record.

So, check that your emails and calls are associated with all relevant records. HubSpot won’t automatically share activities across linked objects.

Overall, the settings do look correct. Could you confirm that the requirements for activity logging are met, see here? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/configure-automatic-activity-associations

Please note: the following settings apply only for activities logged on records.

The settings do not apply for activities created through other tools or methods, such as through help desk, a meetings scheduling page, or integrations.

Only emails that are sent through HubSpot or logged using the log an email feature will follow the association settings applied. The settings do not apply to emails sent via the sales extension, which have their own settings, or emails logged via BCC or forwarding addresses.

For activites created via other methods, automatic association will follow the default logic, with some exceptions for activities logged on contact records.

When you log an activity (such as an email, call, or note), it can be associated with multiple objects but this needs to be done manually or automatically at the time of creation. HubSpot explains this in detail in their documentation:
