A Sales Wiki or high level strategy area?

Hello, I work for an early stage start up company. I have a sales strategy and I'm wondering if there is somewhere within Hubspot that would allow me to host & save this strategy somewhere, a little bit like a Wiki Page. This will be effectively pinned somewhere and regularly updated so I don't end up in conversations with C-Suite where they say 'where can I find the info on X'?

I'd also use this type of wiki page to store key info like:

- Our ICP Criteria

- Our qualify out criteria

- Dates & conversion metrics (high level)

Most of our company are not Hubspot users like me, so I'm wondering how other people solve this problem? I cant be alone!

Hi @DSH15,

Technically yes, you could for example place this information in a text box on a dashboard: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/dashboards/customize-your-dashboards#add-notes-to-your-dashboard

However, this feature is mostly meant for annotating reports or adding additional contexts on data. It's not a place that's made to meet requirements of an internal wiki. In other words, you'll run out of space, you might not find the formatting options you'd like, you cannot link to other sections of your resources etc.

I would recommend not placing this information inside of HubSpot but really using a solution for this that is meant to be a wiki or at least suitable for knowledge management (Confluence, Notion, Guru, Sharepoint, Google Docs etc). Such a solution will grow and scale better as your requirements and the overall volume of this document increase.

You could still link this resource from HubSpot playbooks or from a dashboard but you'll have a much better time maintaining it outside of HubSpot, in my opinion.

Best regards!

Hey @DSH15,

For early-stage startups, it’s best to use a dedicated tool like Notion to create a living Sales Strategy Hub. HubSpot isn’t designed to serve as a wiki or document repository, especially since most team members may not be daily users of the CRM.

In Notion, you can centrally store and regularly update key information such as:

ICP criteria

Qualify-out rules

High-level funnel and conversion metrics

Messaging frameworks and objection handling

Campaign plans and sales plays

Pinning the Notion page in relevant Slack channels ensures easy access for everyone and prevents repeated questions like “Where can I find that info?”

For example, when a HubSpot form is submitted, a notification can be sent directly into a sales Slack channel. Pinning the Notion document covering ICP and other key info in that channel allows your team to quickly access resources while making lead conversions visible and addressable in real time.

This may be a good starting point: https://www.hubspot.com/make-my-persona

Hey,

I’d like to add to this and recommend GitBook.

There’s a bit of a learning curve, but it’s version-controlled, great for collaboration, and gives you a clean place to document everything. I also believe you can set up some sleek integrations with HubSpot if needed.
