&lt;P&gt;No, this is not possible, HubSpot doesn't make the information on the importing user available at the moment. If you create an import template with a column for the business unit, that could solve the issue. Alternatively, if there's a contact owner column in the import file, this could also be used for automatic assignment. In other words, since you cannot filter for the importing user directly, an additional column in the import file is currently the best option.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'd like to automate assigning a business unit so if 'user A' imports a list of contacts, then any contacts in any of that users' imports would be tagged under their business unit?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
