Hey @Keegan4123, thank you for posting in our Community.

To streamline this, you can set up a workflow that automates the file access and URL process. Unfortunately, files uploaded directly to a CRM record are private by default and can’t be made public through workflows alone. However, a workaround could involve using an integration or custom-coded action in a workflow to move the file from the CRM record to the File Manager, making it public.

Once uploaded to the File Manager, the URL can be copied back to a property on the custom object, making it accessible for public use. This approach would allow your team to use the custom object creation form as desired while automating the file-sharing process.

I hope this helps,

Hi, have a bit of a special use case here.

I have a custom modual that pulls dynamically a photo that is attached to a custom object.

I have the option of a CRM file upload direct to the object record. But this file becomes private and unable to be used on my public page.

If I upload to my file manager, the url can be used public and I can use it pulling from the object property.

This is great and all, but I am trying to simplify this process of creating these objects for my staff end users and would really like to be able to leverage the built in object creation form.

My question, how could I set up a workflow from behind the scenes, that would allow a file to be uploaded to the custom record, then make that file available in the file manager, and copy that url to a property on the record itself.

I want my staff to only use the create object form for my custom object.
