Why does my HubSpot email signature look broken when sending from Outlook in HubSpot?

Having created a very nice email signature - as soon as it goes OUT from Outlook (Windows) the horizontal Social Icons get 25% cut off and the vertical Contact Icons get thick lines between them. It's so ugly that you can barely tell they are icons at all.

Sending from Apple Mail to any device is fine. However, sending from Outlook (Windows) and it corrupts. I have not ried Outlook on a Mac as yet. If I email someone with Windows/Outlook and they FORWARD the email, the forwarded signature corrupts even though it looked fine when they received it.

To me this is a show stopper - I can't dictate what platform people use, and if it isn't universal it's no good. Thumbs down for Microsoft I guess!

Thanks for sharing this experience. Email and signature formatting can be tricky due to our lack of control over the other platforms. Sometimes, you can create the signature in raw HTML, which can help with formatting. I want to invite @Jnix284, @JWingate2, and @Aakar to the conversation to see if they have any troubleshooting tips to share!

Happy to help @kennedyp, to do some basic troubleshooting, could you please share the code that you are using for your signature @manofdogz and a screenshot of what you see in outlook vs apple mail?

The more details/screenshots you can provide about how it is rendering, the easier it will be to find a solution that is more responsive.

All that to say - these days, the simpler your signature the better. Having less images and links will help your emails reach inboxes and avoid spam filters.

To fix it, try using tables instead of divs, avoid SVGs, and use inline CSS with fixed image sizes. Test different formats and consider hosting images externally. If the issue persists, using a third-party email signature generator optimized for Outlook may help.
