unable to change default currency

Hi,

On the Currency tab in the Settings, i am informed that "To edit these settings, you must be an authorized user." I am not able to change the default currency from USD to EURO: hovering over the currency as recommended in your help section (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/add-and-edit-your-account-currencies#:~:text=In%20your%20HubSpot%20account%2C%20click,and%20select%20your%20new%20currency.) does nothing. I am currently the only user + superadmin.

Hi @Rik1,

This seems to be documented in a misleading way. Editing the currency apparently requires any paid HubSpot subscription (see the info box at the beginning of the article). I just tested this in a few free portals and I'm experiencing the same as a super admin.

haha i won't shoot, but this is something that Hubspot should def change then... Not very Europe-friendly.

Trying to solve the same problem except I want GBP. I don't know if I like the platform yet (although it's easier than Zoho so far) and I am trying to send a quote but I'll look a bit of a dick if I send it in USD!
The help files only talk about paid plans and without being able to try it properly I don't know if I'm going to get that far!

wait I've assumed so far that for individual deals we ARE available to
change the currency, but I have not tried it yet. My post was about changing
the default currency. Is it not possible to change the currency for
individual deals / quotes ????

Dear @karstenkoehler or someone from Hubspot,

@Perauto seems to be right, i also cannot figure out how to send a quote in euros.......

Can someone pls confirm that under the free plan it is only possible to send quotes in USD?? That would be insane, it would mean that people from the USA can use Hubspot for free, but people from Europe not, we need to take out a Starter subscription....?

Yep another vote for this.

While I can understand Hubspot gating multi-currency for only paid accounts its absolutely unjustifiable to offer any account (free or otherwise) and not have a local default currency possible.

It should possible to choose a default currency in local amount while not having the ability to add additional currencies.

I am also unable to get a straight answer from anyone at HubSpot. I'm just trying to understand whether the free version is only available in USD. Tech Support didn't know the answer. I use HubSpot in two other companies with paid subscriptions, so I'm aware of its strengths and weaknesses, however, if this USD only is true then I cannot understand why anyone would ever continue with the free product (I'm guessing that's the plan)!

UPDATE: I had this issue too. I spent some time today chatting to a HubSpot Tech support person, they said they would go away and investigate for me and email me back - yeah right! But they did - it was a bug. It has now been fixed and in the default currencies setting there is now an 'Action' button which allows a SuperAdmin to change the default currency. So, for the avoidance of doubt, the free version of HubSpot does allow you to change the default currency from USD into something else. If you require multipple currencies then you need a paid subscription - not unreasonably. I hope this helps.
