An error occurred while validating this phone number.

I am trying to add an established contact's phone number and cannot get past this error: An error occurred while validating this phone number.
The phone number is entered as: +1-xxx-xxx-xxx

Any help?

Hi @TWillig12 it's hard to say whether it's a typo with the number or just how you've shown it here, but +1-xxx-xxx-xxx is not the correct format, you'd need to have one more digit +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx

You're missing a digit at the end:

country code = +1

area code = 3 digits

prefix code = 3 digits

number = 4 digits

I mistyped the example. The phone number is +1 and 10 digits thereafter.

Hi @TWillig12 if the format is correct, the only reason I know that it wouldn't be added is if HubSpot knows it isn't a working number.

Have you verified it is a working number? and/or have already made calls to the contact at this number?

If so, I would try adding it again - perhaps even via import to the record.

If that doesn't work let me know and we can try a another idea.

Thank you for your support. It's very odd; the number is valid, and I have tried many times; however, I logged out and logged back in, and now it accepts the phone number.

You're welcome, I'm glad you got it working - sometimes logging out can help because it resets the browser, cache can cause errors to recurr. If logging in/out doesn't help, clear cache and that will usually do the trick.
