Make an association mandatory before a deal changes stages

Is there a way to make an association mandatory before a deal changes stages? For example, we have email automations upon the successful win/close of a deal, but that does not follow through unless a contact is associated, and as we are a lender, knowing which title/escrow companies assist on payoffs, it is also nic e to associate a different type of contact that way. Is this something that is in the works?

Hey @katiebroyles I don't believe there's a way to set this as granular as when moving deals between stages, however it is possible to set mandatory associations on record creations though which may help!

This would be a great additoin to have. We dont always have a Contact at the onset of a deal while it may be a "Lead" but by the time the stage is changed to "Winning" or "Closing" the Deal that moved further than a Lead, It would be a huge help to require a contact at that point based on condinatl logic of a deal assosiation reqruied when the Stage reaches "X"

Hey @TMelone I don't work for HubSpot so would have no control over what is put in the product, however I'd recomend adding your use case and upvoting this idea "Make an association mandatory conditional on deal stages".

A key feature for us to - it's way overdue to have a feature that would allow us to set associations as mandatory upon certain deal stages, we would need both contact, company and line items as mandatory associations upon closing the deal. This is a key feature needed in order to ensure CRM hygiene.

We constantly have clients that would highly benefit from a forced line item association based on deal stage. It should work very similiar to how you configure the Deal Create Form. Properties tab, associations tab, ability to preset association labels or edit. Require association labels, etc.
