How can you upload deals into Hubspot? I keep getting a Record ID error. I have the correct Record ID associated to each deal, but then Hubspot keeps giving me an error saying ""Record ID" is a read-only property, so no data can be imported to it."

When I try uploading a .csv without the Record ID field, I get an error saying "Record ID is required."

I don't know how to get past this because both errors are conflicting.

Hi @BEskelson,

Thank you for reaching out to the community!

Based on your explanation, it is crucial to ensure that the Record ID is mapped correctly with the Record ID field to avoid encountering any errors. I'm providing a screenshot of the field mapping section as an example.

If you are still encountering any errors, let me know.

Thanks,

Hi @BEskelson ,

Are you trying to update deal information or start a new deal from an import? If you are trying to update already created deal information then Record ID as @DianaGomez stated above will need to be mapped correctly.

If you are trying to create a new deal upon import then HubSpot won't recognize the Record ID and you will have to leave that field blank so HubSpot can generate a Record ID.

Hi there,

I was experiencing the same issue while trying to update existing deals within HubSpot. My spreadsheet had the correct Record ID's, but the import builder failed to identify them with my existing deals. I have spent appr. 45 mins on this, when realised, it needs to be changed in "Import As" column from "property" to "Record ID". Once this step is done, it matches the importable deals with existing deals.

Hope that helps to others having the same issue.
