Weighted Pipeline by Quarter and Product

I've been trying to fix this report so that it takes the unit price x deal stage probability by quarter. Right now the report shows $30k in Q1 at 50% probability but it should calculate this to $15k. Does anyone know how to fix this or give me directions on how to create a report that shows a weighted unit price based on the deal probability and then assigns it to the quarter it will be delivered/ marked completed in which also means when we would recognize the revenue (with GAAP accounting).

Hi @AMatalia,

It looks like you used the option to show a row total in a pivot table (which simply adds the values but does not perform any multiplication with the probability) – that is different from displaying the deal property 'Weighted amount'. Try including the latter 🙂

Thanks Karsten but that's not what I'm looking for. I want to display the weighted line item amount per quarter to show the potential weighted revenue based on estimated completion date. The weighted deal amount will show the entire deal value not the line item.

I want a chart that shows me the weighted line item based on estimated completion dates that then places that potential revenue in it's assigned quarter. This would then inform me the weighted total revenue by product and/ or quarter we anticipate booking from what's in our pipeline (50% or higher). This is more of a revenue forecast based on GAAP accounting because GAAP is driven by when revenue will be delivered.

I was able to figure this our with my college. We created a dataset and added the equastion to generate the accurate calculation in my report.
