@RSiebert @BérangèreL Thank you for tagging me on this question. Definitive Healthcare offers a number of integration options. The easiest one to implement would be a recurring data export using Definitive's SFTP service, which would then be automatically imported into HubSpot (after the necessary data transformations). Hightouch or Census can be used for automating the process.

Thanks so much for the interest Bérangère! My company, Capta Health Partners, is focused in the US Healthcare hospital and health system space. Definitive Healthcare is a data and info company that tracks a huge amount of information about this space, including Integrated Delivery Networks, Heath Systems and independent hospitals. Including who their executive employees are, contact info, a ton of financial and clinical data, etc.

The complexity of the data can be high. For example, an IDN can span multiple states and under that 'grandparent' level, an IDN can have multiple 'parent' health systems and under that, they can have multiple 'children' that are the individual hospitals and facilities. Contacts are different at each level.

As we work on our go to market execution, I need to be able to create 'campaigns' to target certain segments based on a combination of financial data (eg, Operating margins under 1% and low or negative growth rates) and to execute on outreach program to the Persona's attached to those organizations.

We are currently contracted with OnTheFuze as an integrator to help us create the right model but they have not worked with Definitive in the past. Definitive has native APIs for their data that support SalesForce.com but not currently for HubSpot.

So basically I am looking for anyone who has already gone down this path as to avoid making any known mistakes.

Greatly appreciate any advice!!!

@RSiebert I would suggest that you bring only what you need from Definitive into HubSpot. In your case, it sounds like you need to build contact lists from the Definitive data. The SFTP - Hightouch option I mentioned should work well for this and would eliminate the need for building a custom data sync.

@RSiebert it sounds like you're already working with a partner to create the connection between the two systems - since they haven't done this type of integration before, I would make sure you have a full understanding of what they've scoped, what's included, and how the integration will be maintained.

As @johnelmer pointed out, it will be important to only bring across the data you really need to access in HubSpot.

Creating a mapping of the data and how the data will flow between the three systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, and Definitive) is a crucial first step in the process.
