We are working to set up the leads object in HS. Does anyone have experience/guidance on how to set up fuzzy matching to 1-if no user exists in HubSpot (based on email and account ID), we want HubSpot to create a "COntact" with the lifecycle stage of "MQL".

2-If the user does exist in Hubspot (fuzzy match for email and account ID) we want to have a "New Lead" associated with the Contact.

Is this possible?

Hi @Anonymous,

HubSpot does not support fuzzy match at this stage. While it might be added at some point in the future, it's currently not an option.

I'm not sure I follow your first use case which makes contact creation conditional to your requirements. Generally HubSpot creates a contact when an email address is not found in the CRM and it updates a contact when one can be found.

Regarding your second use case, this can generally be achieved with workflows, but not with fuzzy match.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

What type of workflow would you use to bring in a "form fill", or something similar, to a lead object associated with a contact? We want our reps to engage more via the lead object.

Hi @Anonymous,

This is what a simple contact-based workflow could look like:

Best regards!
