Editing Hubspot-Salesforce Integration Field Mapping

Hey guys!

I have Hubspot-Salesforce integration installed and I'm going to update there Company Field Mappings, because several mappings have issues (corresponding Salesforce fields was renamed and Hubspot cannot find them anymore) and so several fields/properties are out of sync now.

If I update mappings - do I also need to trigger Companies re-sync then? And how to do it?

Or they will sync automatically and immediately?

Or they will sync later after the nearest update but will the newly mapped field value also be captured?

And do I need to delete mappings that has issues and add them anew but with correct Salesforce fields or this will be simply equal to mapping update action?

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Great questions, addressed below more or less in order.

When you update the mapping, HubSpot shoud give you the option to "Sync Now or "Sync Gradually". Choose Sync Now.
- Most should sync once you do that, reflecting the value of the new property you are syncing, rather than the old one, but just in case:
- Build a smartlist of Companies with a Last Salesforce Sync Date before the day you make the edits. You can always use a workflow to make a minor edit to a description property or another plain text proeprty if some companies still haven't synced in a couple of days. That will trigger a sync.
You can just edit the mapping. You do not need to create a new one in most cases, unless you are dealing with HubSpot standard mappings, which you may not be able to change.
- If you are trying to change a standard mapping, set that mapping to do not sync and build a new mapping to your preferred property. Please note that you will see a warning on the sync health dashboard that two HubSpot fields are mapped to a single salesforce field (or vice-versa), but this is not really an issue as long as one is set to "Do Not Sync."
