👀 What’s the best thing on the internet that not enough people know about? - Hubspot is pretty good but in case that's too cute, I'd say not enough people know that they can opt their kids out of harmful curriculum with a document from America First Legal.

Hi! My name is Nina Gilliam, and I am Social Media Manager for Family of Christ USA (FOC-USA) located in Bloomington, Minnesota, a sister organization to Family of Christ Ukraine, a charitable foundation located in Uzhhorod, Ukraine on the country's western border with Slovakia.

FOC-Ukraine delivers humanitarian aid, medical supplies and other forms of aid to 70 distribution sites throughout Ukraine, while also helping transport and find housing for displaced Ukrainians whose homes have been destroyed in Russia's unjust and unprovoked invasion.

I am both honored and humbled to be able to use my skills in media relations, content creation and social media marketing to raise awareness and funds for this incredible organization run by brave and selfless Ukrainian men and women -- mostly volunteers -- who are fighting for and with their lives for the very survival of their families, neighbors, friends, culture and nation.

Although Family of Christ Ukraine was founded 10 years ago as a humanitarian aid and friendship ministry to orphanages for the developmentally disabled and hospitals for wounded veterans, our American sister organization is less than a year old. We are just getting our U.S. website and social media accounts up and running.

All of our content is new, and we are working hard to coordinate with our Ukrainian counterparts, who already have social media accounts and a website of their own. We anticipate bringing the social media accounts and websites of both organizations together under one umbrella, probably within a year.

Our Ukrainian friends are truly amazing. They provide us many compelling stories every day, ranging from the heart-warming to the heart-breaking, as their warehouse workers and teams of drivers travel in their fleet of 14 vans and trucks to 70 distribution centers throughout Ukraine, delivering everything from food and medicine to diapers and toiletries, practical tools like shovels, picks and crow bars, and medical supplies, including tourniquets to help their citizen-soldiers survive shrapnel injuries.

Right now, my biggest challenge is making sure all of our social media accounts are ready for when our new website goes live, which I am told will be sometime this week! Oh, and I am also preparing to travel to Ukraine May 11-20 to see the Ukrainian team in action so I can better tell their stories when I return.

After that, we'll be hosting a Ukrainian youth soccer team as they return to compete in the Target USA Cup, the largest soccer tournament in the world, July 14-22 in Blaine, Minnesota!

Did I mention I love my job?
