Google Meet links no longer work

Our sales team was scheduling meetings using google meet manually through the record, not through a meeting scheduling page. Then today, the links suddenly stopped working. I thought to go in and manually edit the meetings to include a new link, but there doesn't seem to be that functionality. How can I get my existing scheduled meetings to have valid links?

Can you provide more context around how your reps were manually inputting these links? Specifically, I'm wondering where they were adding the meeting links from. I ask because it sounds like they would simply be able to input a new meeting link(s) moving forward should the process already be manual, but I gather I might be missing something here.

Sure, by "manual" I just meant it was not the meeting scheduling page. They go to the contact/company record, click "meeting", then as location choose Google Meet. Then, when looking at the meeting in Google Calendar, there is no way to edit the link.

Welcome to the Community @HNelson0. From what I found, this is a new issue. It looks like Google Meet links stopped working due to a recent Google API change that broke the automatic addition of unique links when selecting "Google Meet" as location from contact/company records. HubSpot meetings created this way sync to Google Calendar without editable links in HubSpot itself, and direct editing of the link field isn't supported in the meeting record.

For existing meetings, here's what you should be able to do. First, manually create a new Google Meet link in Google Calendar for each affected event. Then copy and paste it into the HubSpot meeting's "Attendee description" or "Notes" field for visibility to attendees.

Open the synced event in Google Calendar.
Click "Add conferencing" > Google Meet to generate a valid link.
In HubSpot, edit the meeting (via Actions > Edit) and add the link to the description.

You can use a permanent Google Meet link (generated via Google Calendar settings) in the Location field for future manual scheduling, but from what I found, unique links are preferable.

To fix this for future scheduling, enable "Automatically add Google Meet video conferences to events I create" in your Google Calendar settings (under "Add conferencing" when editing event settings); this restores auto-generation for HubSpot-created events. Then you can install or verify the official HubSpot Google Meet integration from the App Marketplace if not already set up, ensuring Super Admin permissions. For new meetings from records, select Google Meet as location after this—links should now work reliably.

Finally, resources to prevent this from happening again point to reconnecting your Google Calendar in HubSpot settings if needed (Settings > Integrations > Calendars), and test a new meeting.
