Hi @DJames79 , I took another look at this and at our Eventbrite integration docs to make sure we weren’t missing anything.

You’re not missing a setup step – this is a UI mismatch between Eventbrite’s own “segments” and HubSpot’s lists/segments.

In short:

The Eventbrite integration syncs registrations, cancellations, and attendance into HubSpot and exposes Eventbrite-related fields you can use in lists and workflows.
Docs: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/integrations/how-to-connect-hubspot-and-eventbrite#segment-eventbrite-registrants-and-attendees

The right way to segment in HubSpot is what you’re already doing: Active Lists using those Eventbrite registration/attendance properties and/or lifecycle/owner criteria.

The “Segments” box on the Eventbrite event page UI inside HubSpot is part of the embedded Eventbrite experience. It does not read from HubSpot lists, and “add via filters” refers to Eventbrite’s own filters, not HubSpot list filters, so there’s no supported way to push your HubSpot segments into that panel.

So effectively:

Use HubSpot Active Lists (with Eventbrite properties) for any segmentation, reporting, or automation in HubSpot.

Treat the Segments section on the Eventbrite event view as Eventbrite’s own segmentation UI – it won’t mirror the HubSpot lists you’ve built.

Let me know if this helps!

Best,

Hi all,

We have Eventbrite as an integration and can see the registrations, cancellations, and attendees. I've created two segments so far to separate out our clients from leads using the Eventbrite registration filter and get the numbers I want to see but thesection called Segments on the integration app page still says no segments added and I can find no way to add them?

Hi @DJames79

Thanks for flagging this — the way Eventbrite segments surface (or don’t) in the integration UI can definitely be confusing.

I’d like to pull in a few Community members who’ve worked with the Eventbrite integration and segmentation reporting.
@seosiri @RubenBurdin @sylvain_tirreau — hope you’re all having a great week! Have you seen cases where Eventbrite-based lists/segments work correctly in reports but don’t appear under the Segments section on the Eventbrite app page? Any clarity on how that section is populated or whether it’s limited to certain segment types would be really helpful.

Appreciate any insight you can share here.
Victor

In my experience working with Eventbrite integrations, the Segments feature you're looking for is actually referring to HubSpot Lists, not a dedicated Segments section in the Eventbrite app settings.

Here's how to properly set this up:

The Eventbrite integration syncs attendee data as contacts into HubSpot. To segment them, you need to create Active Lists in HubSpot using the Eventbrite properties that come through. Go to Contacts > Lists and create a new Active List with filters like "Recent conversion" equals "Eventbrite - Event Registration" or use the specific event name property.

For your use case of separating clients from leads, create two lists:

1. A list filtering for contacts where "Contact Owner" is assigned (your existing clients who registered)
2. A list filtering for contacts where "Contact Owner" is unknown or "Lifecycle Stage" equals "Lead"

You can also use the Eventbrite registration properties directly in your list filters. The integration passes through event name, registration date, order status, and ticket type. These properties appear under contact properties once someone registers.

If you're not seeing the numbers populate in your lists even though the integration shows registrations, check that your contact deduplication settings aren't preventing new contacts from being created. Sometimes existing contacts who register don't get the Eventbrite properties appended if there's a sync conflict.

Let me know if you need help with the specific list filter setup and I can walk through the exact criteria to use.

Thanks, understood. I had actually already done what you suggested, and I have numbers, which is great. It was more a question of these segments/lists not appearing in the individual events page (See the image I posted below), and if I had something wrong as they aren't listed in the box where it says Segments and says something about adding via filters. Thank you for your time.

Hi Victor, I see you ticked accepted solution on Muhammads post, but actually he hasn't answered the question (I already listed his reply in my question). I'm looking to understand how I get these segments into the actual events, I added screen shots in my second posting to show where they are missing, it says to add them via filters, not sure how I do this. Thank you.
