topic Report on a subset of videos in Reporting & Analytics

Hi Community,

Does anyone know how to create a report on a subset of videos? We'd like a report on just our knowledge base videos but can't figure out how to ringfence them. They are in a distinct folder in the file manager, so I thought filtering on folder path might work, but it doesn't. Using media name as the filter works but there are more than 100 videos.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

How are you trying to report on the video performance, and what do you want to report on, more specifically? There are performance reports at the page level, but you can also report on media views in a custom report (see the last part of this knowledge base article).

In the reports, you can add dimensions like count of media plays, media name, duration, folder path, object create date and time, and other similar.

You can also filter on all these data points, i.e., filter the report for a specific folder path. Does this help?

Thanks, @RubenBurdin

That is the custom report I've used for all videos. I'm reporting on media plays, and that works fine, but it includes all videos.

I tried filtering by "folder path" previously, but it doesn't give me any results.

What format is the folder path they are looking for? I've tried the name of the folder, the folder id number, and the folder URL. Nothing.

I've tried filtering by user ID instead since one user created all of the KB videos. But that doesn't work either.

I'm stumped.

In the instance that I checked, I don't seem to have that information either (Folder Path or even Owner shows no values).

You can try to break down by Content Page or page URL though, as you mentioned the videos are published in a knowledge base?

Does that work?
