Just wanted to make sure these filters as the same you used for your screenshot? Thanks!

Also just out of curiosity, you say above "they have to be hubspot pages" - does that mean if we built landing pages elsewhere (e.g., webflow, unbounce) they wouldn't register? Not applicable now, just want to make sure I'm clear for the future.

Hello,

I've set up a custom view in our contacts report where I can see our marketing contacts by source, date, email stats, liklihood to close, etc.

I'm doing some lead scoring work and would like to also add column(s) showing which web pages they've viewed (so I can compare close rates among those who have visitied certain pages or not). Is there an easy way to do this?

I know you can add a filter to only those who have seen a specific page, but I'm looking to see all pages each contact has visited.

Thanks!

Hello @DMacLean0 thank you for posting in our Community!

I want to share this Community post here with a similar question where @danmoyle helped.

He mentioned to "Create a Custom Report with Contacts and Website Pages (page name) as your data sources, then begin to group them by users. Plus you can add the filter of pages seen in the last 7 days."

I hope this information helps.

I was trying to do it as a view under Contacts - is there a way to do it there, or do you have to create a custom report? Under the contacts view I can add the following to filters and/or columns, but can't seem to layer in the specific pages viewed:

- average page views

- first page viewed

- last page viewed

- number of page views

Thanks!

@DMacLean0 are you looking in the Contact object view? Contacts in the navigation, and Contacts?

It looks like this:

In there where it looks like a spreadsheet, you can edit columns and add data to the view. There should be "last page seen" as an option. Also, "first page seen." They're in the analytics group of your HubSpot properties.

That's as close as I think you can get to seeing what pages they've viewed from that level of view. If you wanted to see all the pages, that would become a very large table to view.

For one, imagine if I've seen 30 pages of your website, but @PamCotton has seen one. There's not a way to see that in a table. You can see it in contact records, but I'm not sure how that would realistically look in the contacts view.

You've got it @danmoyle, that's exactly where I was. I did add first page viewed and last page viewed, but can't seem to see a way here (or in the custom report builder) to see all pages viewed.

Aware that it would make it a large report (especially for those who saw 30 pages), but essentially I'm trying to find trends, e.g., people who saw X page had a higher conversion than average, so we should direct them to that page more frequently.

Is that a possibility in the contacts view, custom report builder, or elsewhere? Thanks!

@DMacLean0 is this the kind of table you're looking for?

I built it in custom report builder as a pivot table with page title (they have to be HubSpot pages) and base URL for the columns, which puts all the pages in with the contacts.

I also looked at only contacts created since August 1 to keep the dataset manageable.

Hope that helps!

Thanks @danmoyle! You're super helpful.

I had a custom report built in table format so I could have 20 columns and also evaluate other things correlated to close rate, like marketing email opens, source, # sessions, # pageviews, etc.

It looks like pivot tables can only have 4 columns so wouldn't be able to have everything in there, and tables when I add page title + base URL they only display one (not the full breakdown like your image). I could create two separate reports - one table and one pivot table, unless you know of a more elegant solution?

I think you've found limits in HubSpot. It happens from time to time. I've been a user since 2010, and I've seen limits and I've seen growth.

In any case... I think the only other solution is to export your data and use a spreadsheet tool like Excel. I think the size of the report you want, combined with the dataset you'd like, is pushing further than what HubSpot does for us.

That's my two cents. 😊

Email, base URL & Page title are all actually in Rows.

As for filters, it looks like this:

If there's a discrepancy, it could be a few factors like the filter of activity or create date, or maybe folks aren't poking around the website a ton before or after becoming a contact. I'd have to spend time with you poking around your data and your set-up to really propose a reason for that.

As for the page title question, our entire site is in HubSpot, so as I understand it yes, the page title is a HubSpot property on HubSpot pages, so it would only populate with a page built in HubSpot. That's why I also would include the URL, because the analytics code should pick up on that if it's built somewhere else but has the HubSpot analytics code on those pages.

Hope that helps!

@DMacLean0 are the pages HubSpot-hosted? Or if not, do they all definietely have the HubSpot tracking code?

I'd also pull out a few of those contacts and look at their overall journey. What's their total pages viewed? Average? Are they truly only seeing the one or two pages (first/last)?

It would take some investigation - I don't have a "here's the one answer" thought for this.
