External Tracking URL Not Associated with Campaign

Hello!

We're just diving into using tracking URLs and campaigns. The first tracking URL we made was done externally (we didn't realize we could create one in Hubspot yet) and it wasn't associated with the campaign we created for that initiative in Hubspot. I can see the traffic in the Hubspot Analytics area, but is there any way to associate that tracking URL with the campaign?

You could in theory setup a redirect from your previously created (external) tracking URL to a Hubspot created tracking URL attched to the campaign.

In essence, anyone clicking the link to the previous URL would land on the page and immediatly get redirected to the same page, but your campaign tracking URL would recieve the trigger.

There is a potential issue in that both your original tracking URL will register a clickthrough in your analytics along with the new one - But, you should then have the traffic registered in the campaign.

Not exactly what we were hoping for.. We already have a redirect setup (nicer, easier to say url > tracking url), so it seems like that would get more complex. It seems like we're kinda outta luck for this particular campaign, so would need to create the tracking URL in hubspot, associated to the campaign moving forward.
