SFDC Lead ID and Contact ID doesn't automatically populate?

Do I need to set up the mapping through the SFDC integration in order for these fields to map from Salesforce? Or is it supposed to automatically do that when I install the Salesforce integration?

When you install the Salesforce integration, the Salesforce Lead ID and Salesforce Contact ID are automatically created. They are under the Contact Properties in the Salesforce Information properties group. If you installed the integration and are not seeing them you may need to reach out to support.

I do see both properties, but it looks like it's not populating the SFDC ID fields. Do I need to do something to have it sync the ID fields over? Or should it be automatic?

@NNguyen7 whenever you install the integration, you will see these fields created in HubSpot. But, you still need to add them to the integration for them to populate. So, you'll navigate to Connected Apps > Salesforce > Contacts > Field Mappings > Add Field Mapping and sync the Salesforce Contact ID field to the corresponding field in Salesforce. Set the Sync Rule to "Always Use Salesforce" and then Sync All. 🙂

We had a SF inclusion list that was blocking any contact and lead IDs from mapping over, so once I remove that, all of our IDs synced over.

@Ben_M they are automatically created but they're not automatically mapped. You'll need to follow the steps above to add them to the integration field mappings. 🙂

Small problem, because the Salesforce Lead and Contact ID fields are both named 'Id', I'm only able to map to the Contact ID. Is the only work around to create another field on the Lead that is a copy of the Lead ID but named something different? I can't find another solution, but this also seems pretty ridiculous since they're standard fields when integrating Salesforce with Hubspot?

@CKing73 The HubSpot Contact maps to both the Salesforce Lead and Contact. If the Lead and Contact have a field with the same API value (ex: ID), it will map values from both objects to the singular field on the HubSpot Contact.

We recommend mapping Salesforce Contact ID to ID and then filtering the values in Salesforce Contact ID by what the property begins with. If it begins with 003, it's a Contact. If it begins with 00Q, it's a Lead.
