Create lists with contacts that came from a specific integration

We had a custom integration built between an external database we use and hubspot. I want to set up a dashbaord of attributes for the contacts this integration brings into Hubspot.

What is the best way to filter for that? I was trying to use original source drill-down 2, which says MyHubSpotApp for these records, but I can't get anythign to populate. I tried drill-down 2 for other known values and those didn't work either.

Does original source drill-down 2 not work for filtering?

Is there another way to segment contacts who come in via a specific integration?

We usually ascertain the application from which the contact originated by utilizing the properties under 'Original Source Drill Down.' In this instance, if the contact is sourced from a third-party connected application, the 'Original Source Drill Down 1' typically indicates 'Integration,' while the 'Original Source Drill Down 2' generally specifies the integration's name. Therefore, you have the option to generate either a view or a list incorporating the properties configured as demonstrated in the provided screenshot.

Hi @stephanderson,

Can you look up a contact that you know came from the integration? Click View all properties in the left sidebar of the record, then search for Original source drill-down 2.

After you do so, you might either just see a string (one that refers to your custom build integration) or a small info icon and a string. When you hover over the info icon, HubSpot will let you know that this property has an internal value (a number) and an external cosmetic value. The internal number that shows up upon mouseover is the one you'd have to put into your list filters.

Oh my gosh, that was it!! Thank you so much. You're right, there was a little icon and it had the internal value, and that worked!

One question, is it true that the original source fields can never change? Just want to make sure that as I'm setting up my dashbaord it is going to be accurate. My understanding is that the latest source will change, which is logical, but original source should stay the same.
