Dropdown Replacement

I am trying to replace the options in a dropdown property with values that match the current external values but will have different internal values. If i do this will the original response from leads disappear? Will they convert over since the external value matched?

Worst case scenerio I'd like to know what they originally selected so I can manually select. There are about 52 proporties that have anywhere between 10 - 500 selection options so rebuilding from scratch and adding to all of the required forms individually would be a pain.

Please let me know if any clarification is needed.

You cannot replace the internal values with new ones if contacts already exists in it, regardless you change the external value. And if you overwrite the old values will disapper in Hubspot Marketing Software. You can either clone the required properties and then change their values or you can add a ";" sign before importing your sheet in Hubspot, so that way old selections remain unchanged and only new ones get updated.

For manual selection, you have to go through contact's property history and you can find the contact's selection there.

HubSpot provides the functionality to change the external names but we can't change the internal name of that value as it is fixed.

*** The only way to change the internal names is when you are creating New dropdown field. Once it's created we can't change the name.
