Hey @TDAdmin if you continue using CR forms then non-HubSpot forms will not capture these hidden fields. If you switch your forms to HubSpot forms embedded on your page then yes, as Jacob mentioned you can add hidden fields in your HubSpot forms that will store data not visible to the visitor filling out the form, but will be visible to the HubSpot user.

You'll need to either set values for these in the forms editor (outlined in the article Jacob shared) , populate them via query strings or through custom code too. These hidden fields won't pull data from an external source automatically.

I'm on the Starter Plan i.e. Marketing Starter, CRM Starter, Sales Starter etc...

Let's say I have Site_A.com and this is my primary domain in hubspot. I use HS Forms and when the leads come in from Site A, they are stored in the Contacts database.

Now let's say there is also Site_B.com and maybe it uses CallRail Forms. Can I send all my leads from this domain into my HS Contacts database, or do I need another HS Starter Plan?

Thank you!

Hey @TDAdmin, thanks for reaching out! This is a great question.

As long as you have the HubSpot tracking code installed, you can use HubSpot assets on any page that you have access to (even across different domains). However, just keep in mind that HubSpot is going to consolidate website and form performance across all assets. You need to be sure that you're appropriately segmenting data within HubSpot so that it doesn't get too muddied.

In this use case, you could embed HubSpot forms on Site_B.com. You can also consider using non-HubSpot forms if you want to keep a non-HubSpot form on Site_B.com but still send submissions to HubSpot (more info in this Knowledge Base article). Note that you can't control how properties are mapped for non-HubSpot forms, so I would recommend using HubSpot forms if you need any special tracking or mapping.

Consider using hidden HubSpot form fields to easily categorize your contacts based on where they originally converted.

Hope this helps!!

Hey @TDAdmin yes you can use your HubSpot forms on any domain you like, simply add the HubSpot form embed code to the site and that form will capture them into HubSpot. HubSpot forms operate independently of the domains setup in the HubSpot portal.

You could also use an integration if available, or the forms api to integrate your callrail forms into HubSpot and they will receive this data. This may require some development work however.

1 thing to consider however is that if the HubSpot tracking code is not present on this site, and the site is not set up as a tracked domain in your HubSpot portal , you will not receive any analytics for these contacts within your HubSpot portal. However, regardless of the tracking or domain settings, any HubSpot form embedded on any page will capture the data in the fields to the relevant portal.

Thanks for your reply Jacob! Very helpful. You actually answered another question I had with the link to hidden form fields. If i'm understanding the link you provided correctly, it means that I can track an hidden field that's useful to me, like say "last keywords" for instance? Is that correct?

The reason I ask is that I find that the HS Contacts that are created via CallRail Calls include much more granular data than my HS Form does. I had considered switching to CR Forms, but that's an extra $50/mth.

If i'm understanding you right, I could just use hidden fields to capture the missing data that CR provides, but HS does not?
