Embeded HubSpot form is not tracking submissions

I have a WordPress website (https://magincreative.com.au/services/website-design/) where I have installed the HubSpot plugin and embedded a HubSpot Form on the page via a shortcode. I'm testing the form and found that the the HubSpot dashboard, none of the submissions I have made via the form are being tracked or recorded.

However, new records for each submission are being created in my Contacts page in my HubSpot account. I've tried removing and adding the shortcode several times but cant seem to figure out why the submissions are not being recorded in Hubspot - and i am not being notified that new submissions are coming through via email.

Has anyone experienced this before on a WordPress website or have any ideas I could try to resolve this?

Hi @Sean-Magin,

There are a few reasons why this might be happening. Could you confirm whether you're seeing the submissions in HubSpot under Menu > Marketing > Lead Capture > Forms > click on form > tab Submissions?

Can you explain more what you mean when you say "the HubSpot dashboard, none of the submissions I have made via the form are being tracked or recorded"? Which HubSpot dashboard are you referring to?

@karstenkoehler That is correct - when I look at the Forms> Submisions, it reads 0 submisions.

By "Hubspot Dashboard" I meant the Contacts Dashboard you can view by clicking on the Hubspot logo in the header at the top left.

I can confirm that contacts are being automatically created and I am receiving emails notifying me that the contact records are being created/updated but no notification that the form has a new submission. Is this normal? I was of the understanding that when a form submission event occured, an automated email would be sent with the field responses.

Hi @Sean-Magin,

The page under Menu > Contacts > Contacts is referred to as contact index page. Thank you for clarifying.

When you open one of the contact records, is any form submission logged on these records? (You can filter the activity timeline on the record by form submissions to find these more easily: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/customize-activities-on-a-contact-company-deal-ticket-record-timeline)

Hi @karstenkoehler , yes ive checked the Contact's Activity Tab and can see the form submissions recorded.

What is puzzling is that on the Form page > Performance , it still says 0 Submissions

In the same Form Page > Submissions it shows the test submissions.

It seems very puzzeling that the Performance cannot seem to track the submissions but the details seem to be being captured correctly.

Hi @Sean-Magin,

So all of the submissions you'd expect show up in the Submission tab then? They're being excluded because they're from a specific IP address. Can you check if you've excluded IP addresses here?

Thanks for the help and teaching me some of the HubSpot terminology @karstenkoehler. Yes, the answer to this was very simple. I had set up to exclude my IP Address from tracking and that is exactly what was happening. Thanks for your recommendations and suggestions,
