Problems Working with HubSpot on a Firefox browser

Hello Hubspot Community,

I am trying to insert a Hubspot form onto a webpage that I want seen on computers, tablets, and phones.

I'm having a problem building the webpage because after embedding the HTML code, the form doesn't always appear in the "preview" window. I don't know if this is an issue because I'm building the page in my Firefox browser or if something else is afoot.

I've heard that Firefox doesn't play well with Hubspot. Because of this, I'm also working on building the page in my Safari browser. Thing is, the embedded code doesn't always seem to result in the form being seen in Safari either.

So, I'm having problems and hoping someone with some experience might have insight.

One particular frustration is that it would seem to me that if building the form into the page doesn't work on one browser, then a user with the Firefox browser will also have this problem.

Anyone run into this problem? Anyone have possible solutions?

Hi @JPartland ,

I've seen a similar issue with Wix websites. They are not browser specific, but more to do with the website's CMS. I know this can happen with WordPress if you're using Elementor. It would help if you either share a link to the page where the form ought to appear, or to at least give more information about the CMS you're using, if any.

I"m not using Elementor unless it is hidden behind my WordPress platform in some way.
I don't recall what CMS I used to build the site, though it was build on SiteGround and now hosted by BlueHost.

That's interesting then. Any chance you can share a link, even if it's via a DM?

The other thing I can suggest is for you to create a blank HTML page with only the form in the body and upload it on the server where the website is. As it will be plain HTML, i.e. no Wordpress themes and editors, etc interfering, it will help the troubleshooting process. As if it shows up then, I would then suggest trying a different theme for the website for 5 mins (late in the evening, I guess, when you're not expecting a lot of traffic). This way, you can see if it's the hosting in general (if the plain page doesn't load), or if it's the theme (if the page with a new theme shows the form) or if it's something entirely different.

Cleared the SG Cache, the page cache, the FireFox Cache, today's browsing history and cleared cookies.

Still having the same problems. I checked in Firefox, Safari and Brave, and the embedded form isn't showing up.

However, when I'm working on the page in Firefox and using Block Editor, I can see the form when I click on Preview on the HTML Code block.

I also created a completely new page only with the code embedded. Still can't see it in firefox or safari.

Hi @JPartland ,

I see the form at the bottom of the page. Is this where you expected it to be? It's showing up on a background that makes it hard to see, hence I'm not sure if it's supposed to be showing up there. It's under the copyright, so it makes me wonder where you've added the code. Maybe that's why you can't see it on your side, because it's outside of the main website container.

Does this help to troubleshoot?

Thanks. I see it now.

However, no, that is not at all where I want it to show up. on the page I created with text, I placed the embedded code immediately under the text which finishes with "So, sign up to get the five rides. When you do that, I’ll post a discount code and further instructions."

thanks, it seems to be a start. At least I can see it. Now, I'm going to have to figure out how to get it higher. don't know how to do that. At least not yet.

I had help from a friend. That was the solution. 😉

But the practical solution is that once you've linked a website to a Hubspot account, there is a Hubspot form in WordPress' Block editor.

Start by clicking on the "+" sign, then type in "hubspot" into the search feature. Soemthing called "hubspot form" appears. Once you click on that, there's a dropdown menu which includes both forms the user has built and standard forms.

FWIW, it doesn't seem to work right in the Brave browser yet. But otherwise, it does indeed seem to be working.

BTW, I just installed Brave browser and can see the form straight away. Can you try this link? https://www.wheretobikenyc.com/bikeshopgrrnd/?newrequest As you'll see, there's a query parameter at the end. As query parameters can change the content of a page, the browser has to make a new request to the URL instead of using the cache. I'd say, try that link and if needed, do a few hard refreshes and hopefully, it appears for you, too.
