Linking a thank you email on a welcome email

Hi,

I am working on a welcome email for our customers where I ask the customers to sign up for our consumer forum.

For the same, I am trying to link Thank You email as soon as the contact clicks on the Sign Up button on the Welcome email.

I am unable to link another email to the existing email.

I tried linking the Email Subscription link to the CTA but the challenge there is

I can't edit the confirmation email
where to get the list of contacts who click on susbcribe link

Is there an easy way to do it?

Hi @AAgarwala,

This requires automation features in HubSpot, you can't link one email to another via the hyperlink formatting option.

Email automation is available either in the "Automation" tab of your email editor or under Menu > Workflows:

The workflow would enroll contacts based on the click in the first email. The next workflow action would then be to send the second email.

This cannot be done in the free version of HubSpot. HubSpot has moved some features in the Marketing Hub Starter but the full automation features are only available in Marketing Hub Professional.

Thanks for the quick suggestion.

I was working on similar lines suggested by you but the main challenge is I can't select the specific CTA "Email Subscription Link" while selecting the trigger criteria for workflow.

Hope I could give more clarity on the issue.

Are you referring to the "Subscription confirmation" link? The status of the confirmation is stored in the property "Marketing email confirmation status": https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/what-is-the-marketing-email-confirmation-status-contact-property
