How to get a button to link to a form on the same page

Hey Awesome community. I am building my first Landing Page and I have 6 buttons that all need to direct the visitor to the form at the bottom of the same page.

How to do that?

I use Marketing + CMS Professional, Sales starter and the free Barricade theme from Hubspot.

When I select a button the editor on the left gives me the option Use as link.

I select it. This gives me the button link menu with the following options (see image)

The form with submit button is all the way at the bottom.

Should I give a contextual url? Something like go.jeftabade.com/masterclass#sign-upform

Alternatively: I am a-okay with making it pop-up after clicking a button.

What am I missing here guys? I'm kinda stuck now...

Hi! I'd recommend adding an anchor to the header of the form/the text right above it and adding a contextual url as you mentioned above. This is the most effective way I've found to link within a CMS page!

I'd be happy to teach you! 🙂 I use this method on this page on my website. I'll show you how I did it there.

1. Add a rich text field above the form on your page.

2. Click into the text area on the left and select Insert > Anchor.

3. Give the anchor a name. On the page I link above, mine is "consultation".

4. After creating your anchor, go to the button and select Link to External

5. Type #(the name of your anchor).

6. Save, test (by using Preview > Open in new window), and publish!

Super awesome @LaurenRyan Thank you for this explanation. I applied it and it WORKED!

If others are reading this 👉 Find the insert button in the rich text editor in the same row as Bold, Italic, list, etc.

Also, it took me a moment to realize I needed to test in an actual new window, instead of in the preview window.

Hello Lauren, thanks for this answer. Is there a way to add the anchor to the actual form and not a rich text field?

I created a rich text field and added the anchor, but I'm curious as to whether it can be added to the form itself..

You can use identifiers in the form!
