Add custom fields to Hubspot form

I'm probably doing something stupid or missing something obvious here, but I can't figure out how to add custom fields which I've already created to a Hubspot form.

Context: I want to create a form I can send to subscribers and clients to update their own details in Hubspot.

The most important information is contained in custom fields. When creating a form, no custom fields are available to add to the form.

If relevant, I'm on the Hubspot free plan.

How can I add custom fields to a Hubspot form?

Hi @callumpbirch,

The free CRM is limited to 10 custom properties, could you navigate to Settings > Properties and check whether you've maybe created 10 custom properties already? Any field that you're creating right within a form would be a custom property and count towards that limit.

I'm only using 5 of 10 custom properties.

I don't want to create a new field because I already have a custom field created for the data I want to collect.

The problem is that the field (or any other custom field) does not appear in the form search under 'existing properties'.

Hi @callumpbirch,

Could you confirm two things then, did you create this property as a contact property (and not by accident for another object like company or deal) and did you select the "Use in forms, and bots" option?

Hi Karsten,

Yes, they were created as contact properties, but I hadn't selected the 'use in forms and bots' option.

I knew it would be something simple like this!
