topic Using forms for raffle or event lead capture in Lead Capture Tools

Hi! I want to use forms to capture leads at events. One example is entry into a raffle where we ask a custom question. The other is for reps to capture leads at small events where badge scanners are not available. I have created a simple internal form to help reps input info, link to campaign, add to list, etc. If we use this onsite from the same phone, is there a "kiosk mode" or similar so the form clears each time there is a submission? I don't want the cookies to track from the rep's device.

Hi @JAlfrey,

Just make sure that the "Always create new contacts record from unknown email addresses" toggle is enabled in the forms options: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/create-and-edit-forms#customize-form-settings

This will force the creation of a new contact, even if a submission happens from the same browser.

To refresh the page after the submission, in the form settings, don't show the in-line confirmation message, but choose to redirect to another page. As the target of that other page, simply add the page again that hosts the form to create a loop.

If you want to show a confirmation message first, you need a separate landing page / thank you page. This could say something like "Thank you!" and have a CTA that, when tapped/clicked, takes the visitor back to the page with the form.

Best regards

HubSpot doesn't currently have a built in "kiosk mode" but, here are a couple of ways to make your event form work on a shared device:

In your form settings, you can set where you want to be redirected to. It could be a thank you page, or your website's landing page. In this case you can insert your form's URL there so after every submission it will reload a blank form.

While still in the options tab, scroll to the bottom and toggle this on. This tells HubSpot not to associate the submission with existing cookies. Turning this on means a new contact will always be created based on the email address submitted.

To disable cookie tracking alltogether, that can be done by embedding it into a landing page. Here you can disable tracking cookies in the embedded code. When generating that code, toggle on "disable cookie tracking"

I hope this helps! I'd be happy to answer any more of your questions

Yep, I’ve run into that!Entries overwriting each other is rough 😅

Are you using the default HubSpot form or embedding it?

If default:

Turn on "Always create new contact for new email address"

Set the thank you page to reload the form

I ran this setup at a booth once, and it worked great. Use incognito mode to avoid cookie tracking.

Happy to help if it’s embedded!
