Unable to send email notification

Hi,

Does anyone know what could have gone wrong here? This workflow has been working perfect all along, now all of a sudden the 'send email notification' trigger no longer triggers for me. I have checked that notifications are on.

This issue could be caused by several factors. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve it:

1. Verify Workflow Execution & Logs

Check the workflow history/logs to see if the email action is being attempted but failing. Check for error messages associated with the email action.

2. Confirm Email Sending Limits

HubSpot has sending limits. If the workflow is sending too many emails, HubSpot might have throttled your emails. Try sending a test email separately to see if emails are still working.

3. Ensure the Email Address is Valid

If the email is pulling from a property, confirm that the email format is correct. Try manually inputting an email instead of a dynamic field to test if the issue is with the recipient.

4. Check for Recent HubSpot Updates or Changes

If your workflow was working fine before and suddenly stopped, HubSpot might have updated their email policies or made backend changes. Check HubSpot’s status page or community forums to see if others are facing the same issue.

5. Test with a New Workflow

Create a new test workflow with the same email action to see if it works. If a new workflow works, the issue might be within your current workflow settings.

Hi @TLeen7,

In the workflow actions log, you should have the ability to hover over the error and click a button to see more details. Can you share a screenshot of those details?

Hi @karstenkoehler , See attached.

For context I accidently triggered a workflow this morning which began sending hundreds and hundreds of notifcations to my inbox at once so I clicked the 'turn off' button in the second screenshot (Located at the end of the email notification) and deleted the active workflow to stop all the notifications because it would have gone on for a while and flooded by inbox.

Since then re-created the deleted workflow but now email notifications no longer work despite having them turned on. Is there maybe some blocker that activated due to the sheer volume of notifictions coming into my inbox all at once?

@TLeen7 can you please try in the actions log on the workflow details page? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/understand-your-workflow-details-page

If your inbox was flooded earlier, your email service provider might not be letting through any more notifications (temporary bounce).

@TLeen7 when you hover your mouse over that row, a button should appear which, when click opens the right sidebar (see my previous reply). What do you see in that sidebar?

@TLeen7 that's the end of the line here, unfortunately. Typically this gives more context. At this point, I'd recommend reaching out to HubSpot support in-app via chat or email. It's likely a soft bounce on the recipient side.
