I am having the same issue and it's from a customer contact. No reason they should be flagged. This thread says that this issue is solved but it is not.

My sales team recently sent me a form submission record that had been flagged as a bot, but I can't find any evidence as to why. He replied to follow-up emails and very clearly seems to be a real person.

Is there a way to see what specifically flagged this submission so I can prevent it for the future?

Hi @ZCopeland,

I don't believe that there are any specific values on a property or report that show you specifically why something was flagged as such.

Upon receiving a form submission flagged as a potential bot by your sales team, it's crucial to investigate thoroughly to discern the reasons behind the flagging and prevent such occurrences in the future. Despite the respondent's engagement with follow-up emails, the specifics triggering the flagging might not be readily apparent. To unravel this, meticulously review the submission details for any irregularities or patterns that might have led to the flagging. Delve into the settings and analytics of your form software to seek insights into flagged submissions and understand the criteria employed for identification. Additionally, contacting the support team of your form software can provide valuable guidance on refining security measures and minimizing false positives. Consider adjusting CAPTCHA settings, implementing additional verification steps, or analyzing user-agent details to enhance form security while ensuring seamless user experiences. By combining these efforts, you can better discern bot activity, mitigate false positives, and uphold the integrity of your form submissions.

HEy @ZCopeland where are you seeing these flagged as bots? Is this within the submissions themselves?

If so, are you using the forms API or HubSpot forms?

If you check a specific submission does it say "from a regular HubSpot form" or "via the forms api" in the text at the top?

My suspicion here is you're using the forms api/an integration which isn't sending the visitors IP address. If it's not then the IP address defaults to the server IP, which will be flagged as a bot.

This is the detail on the submission:

It seems extra weird because the email address is linked to a marketing contact record. I'm fairly certain we aren't using any integrations for our forms, just embedding Hubspot forms on our website.
