Video forms can be dismissed?

I've just created a video gated with an embedded form.

It's a good idea as it saves us having a form that redirects to a page hosting the video.

But I noticed you can dismiss the form by clicking the X, giving access to the video without collecting the lead.

Is this deliberate? No option to change this behaviour?

Also, the style is not applied to the form so the button doesn't look like the settings.

Also, I've noticed the button to make a video full screen is not enabled - clicking it doesn't do anything.

Hi @freitasm,

It looks like you're creating a page with a form – and here's likely the misunderstanding. The form is not blocking to the access on the same page. The form would be collecting information from the contact and you can then, after the form submission, send them to a thank you page. The video would have to sit on the thank you page.

You're mistaken. You can add a CTA or form to a Hubspot video, collect the lead before the video play.

This is an alternative to creating a page form and then redirecting to another page.

If you go to Files there are links about videos and one is titled "Generating leads with HubSpot Video" with instructions. This video is also available here: Generating Leads With HubSpot Video - YouTube

Unless I'm missing something, the form is not meant to gate the video, it's meant to be a way to capture further information from people watching the video.

It does work to collect information. Ideally it would have an option to make it required - no access to the video without filling the form. So back to my original question: is the lack of this functionality intentional?

Also, the lack of styling - I see an earlier discussion is now a few months old, and this still needs to be fixed.

I suggest making a new module with the form and using the form snippet, not the form modules. Add a JavaScript event for form submission that uses Magnific Popup's iframe feature. Then, use a JavaScript function to manage the video URL. This will set it up as gated content, and the submission trigger will ensure it only activates after someone fills out the form.

Hi, was the above resolved? I'm having a similar issue and the above answerS seem to miss the point. Some help would be much appreciated!

Using Hubspot Video block
Wanting the video to only play once the form has been submitted. Trying to avoid a seperate page for a better UX.
The form pops up when play is clicked (great!) but the form is then dismissable with the 'x' in top right and the video is then playable without form completion.
The youtube video mentioned by @freitasm shows an option to control this but it is not present on my clients HS? Possibly a package/level thing? Or maybe discontinued functionality?

For now I have a not-so-ideal work-a-round of simply hiding the 'X' with some CSS but the above functionality in the video that is missing in no doubt a cleaner option.
