Hello All,

I'm hoping to get some insights regarding an automation I’m trying to set up in our CRM. I’m relatively new to the system and exploring the functionalities related to file management and automation.

Here’s a rundown of the scenario:

We have an online application form where applicants upload their documents (such as resumes, cover letters, certificates, etc.). Upon submission, these files are stored within the file manager. I'm looking to automate a process where these uploaded files are automatically copied or moved to a related contact or deal attachment in the system.

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out:

Can the uploaded files be automatically copied or moved to the related contact's file attachments?

Are there any step-by-step guides or documentation available to set this up?

Why am I looking to do this:

We often move from the application phase to the deal/negotiation phase with applicants and having all their documents readily available in the deal/contact ensures we have all pertinent information at our fingertips without needing to navigate back to the original application entry.

Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone has set up something similar or knows of any resources or threads that dive into this topic, please do share.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Best Regards,

Nathanaël

@NJ_001 - When a contact submits a form the URL for the file in the HubSpot file library is set as the property. You could add all of these properties to a dedicated section on the contact left sidebar, as below:

When a user hovers over the link an icon to open the file in an external tab is shown:

A workflow could be built out to copy the values in these contact file upload properties over to deal single-likne text properties so they can be accessed from both record types
