Advice on Site Speed Improvements with HubSpot & WordPress

I hope you're doing well!

I’m seeking some advice on improving site speed while using HubSpot as a CRM on a WordPress CMS. It seems that render-blocking resources are causing significant slowdowns, with a potential savings of nearly 2.5 seconds on some pages.

Interestingly, I’ve noticed that a specific JavaScript file (https://js.hsforms.net/forms/embed/v2.js) is being loaded on pages that don’t contain any form fills.

If you have any insights or suggestions on how to address this issue, I’d greatly appreciate your help!

In my research, I’ve come across a couple of possible solutions:

1) Using a custom script to lazy load the JavaScript file.
2) Leveraging an API with a third-party form solution to replace the HubSpot embed — though this doesn’t seem relevant for pages without forms.

If you have any insights or additional suggestions on how best to tackle this issue, I’d greatly appreciate your input.

Since the script is loading on pages without forms, the main goal is to prevent it from loading globally.

Here are a few practical ways you could approach it:

Conditionally load the script in website
Instead of loading it site-wide, enqueue the script only on pages that actually contain a form
Remove the script from pages without forms
If a plugin is injecting it globally, you can dequeue the script hooks so it doesn’t load everywhere.
Load the form script after user interaction
If the form appears lower on the page, you can lazy load the script when the user scrolls or when the form section becomes visible.

The most effective fixes are conditionally loading the script or disabling it on pages without forms, which removes the render-blocking request and improves page speed.You can also use performance optimization tools like Website Speedy to control where scripts load and disable unused JS on specific pages.
