Getting backlinks for the help

I know that one of the great tactics to get backlinks from high-authority websites is to help to find the mistakes on particular pages of the website. Finfing broken links is one of them. But today just finding broken links seems to have a little value. Are there any other types of really valuable help that I can give to the website in order to get the backlink from them?

@LGayazetdinova, one method is to do content collaborations such as guest blog posts or co-webinars with the companies of these higher authority sites. When you write a guest post for them you can backlink to your website and also link to valuable resources that you have that are relevant to the article.

If you do a co-webinar with the company, you can have them link to your site on the registration page, the on-demand page after the session, and repurpose the content with a guest blog post.

Consider looking at the content that some of these higher authority websites have and think about the gaps that they may have around certain topics and what your company can provide the best expertise in. Then contact the company to see if they would be interested in doing a collaboration.

I second that just finding mistakes is not enough to get noticed by the high authority websites. And asking for a backlink as a favor in return wouldn't be fair.

Here are some more tricks that could work for you to get backlinks from the high authority websites.

Mention bloggers/authors of high authority websites from your niche.
Offer to write a guest post for them.
Try to mention and link such high-value websites in your blogs and keep repeating.
Try making direct contact by writing an email and letting them know that you are tagging/mentioning them in your write-ups.
Try finding any broken link to their previously published post. Offer them with your written piece as a replacement for the same.

Trying these will definitely help you get more backlinks. Do share more ideas if you get from other sources.

Hi @LGayazetdinova. I'm adding to the chorus of not using "fixing mistakes on a page" as a link building tactic. I don't know how well it's worked in the past, but as a content creator my personal opinion is that if someone is going to come to me with a mistake and point out what's wrong, I'm good; no thanks. If instead they wow me with humor or connection, or if they're building a relationship with me, I'm much more apt to engage.

I'd rather work with someone who brings value to my audience rather than someone pointing out something wrong or broken. I can fix broken links with technology.

In addition to the other suggestions here, might I offer another idea. Podcast guesting. The more podcasts you (or your brand or a thought leader in the company) appear on, the more links you'll have. You can also a landing page with "exclusive offers" for their listeners, structuring very simply like yourdomain.com/podcastname This will ensure they're linking to your site via the landing page. Then you can also reach out to them outside of the interview/conversation and offer linkable resources in their sites with relevant anchor text.

Recently, I went through a HubSpot article where Anna Fitzgerald mentioned our product listing (No.17 - Ample Admin), but unfortunately, they didn’t provide any backlink to my site, they given it to theme forest which is marketplace.

Is it possible to get one after the article is published?
