I am reaching out to seek clarification regarding the integration of HubSpot scoring and workflows within the platform.

Currently, we have implemented a robust scoring system in HubSpot to qualify and prioritize leads based on their engagement and behaviour. However, I would like to understand better how this scoring system integrates with workflows, specifically in terms of automating actions such as moving contacts to different opportunity stages or marking them as customers.

Does HubSpot automatically move contacts with a score of 60, designated as an opportunity in our scoring system, to the opportunity stage in the lifecycle stages, or do we need to set up automated workflows for this action?

Hi @YeshaMehta,

Hubspot does not do this automatically. You can trigger workflows and enroll records when the score is greater than X, then use the "Set property value" to update/move the record.

There isn't a default link between score and workflow.

If you want to mark contacts with scores exactly 45-50 but not higher as opportunities, then this looks good!

Thank you so much for your previous assistance; it was incredibly helpful.

I'm currently working on setting up a workflow in HubSpot aimed at automating actions related to the SQL (Sales Qualified Lead) stage. However, I wanted to ensure that the workflow is configured correctly, and I would greatly appreciate your feedback on it.

Objective: The workflow is designed to automate actions for contacts at the SQL stage based on specific criteria.

Criteria for Workflow Trigger:

Contact score between 40-49.
The deal is at the SQL stage.
A member of our sales team replies back to the contact.

I have attached a screenshot of the workflow for your reference. Please review the screenshot and confirm if the workflow is correctly set up to achieve the intended automation based on the outlined criteria.

@YeshaMehta generally yes, that looks correct.

Keep the following things in mind:

Re-enrollment is only possible for contact properties (in your case the score), not based on the associated deal or conversation. If you have plans for re-enrolling the same contact, keep that in mind.
A reply from your sales team does not necessarily have to happen through the conversations inbox, it could also be an activity on the contact or deal record. In that case, filter for an associated activity of the activity type "Email sent to contact".

Thanks for your quick response.

Regarding a query related to our re-enrollment workflow. This workflow is designed to ensure that both new and existing contacts are assigned the correct SQL stage as they progress through our lifecycle stages.
In reviewing the workflow activity, I noticed that if I proceed with your suggested route, the workflow appears to have 0 contacts enrolled, which seems inaccurate given our database. My sales team specifically requested the inclusion of this query, which is why it was initially added. Please verify if this setup is correct or if there's a more accurate approach we should consider.

@YeshaMehta it's impossible to say from a distance, unfortunately. If you're referring to the conversations / activity filter, my suggestion was to include both. One filter group that checks an associated conversation, one filter group that checks associated email activities; so that both are covered.
