Connect registrations from a Hubspot form to Marketing Events

Greetings!

We are close to using Hubspot forms for all registrations for our events that we run (both virtual and in person). People pay directly through Hubspot when they register.

I would like those people to automatically be added to a Marketing Event as Registered. How would you recommend that I do this? I know I could download the form information, and then re-upload it back in to Hubspot, but there must be a native way to connect them in the same system.

To automatically add HubSpot form registrants to a Marketing Event, you can use a workflow. Create a workflow triggered by form submissions, and use the "Add to Marketing Event" action to associate registrants with the event as "Registered.". This is currently not native to HubSpot but allows integrations with third-party event platforms like Eventbrite or Zoom, but the direct automation of associating form registrants with a marketing event using a HubSpot workflow typically requires a custom integration or API setup after this, eliminates the need for manual data uploads and keeps everything synced within HubSpot.

Thank you for your reply! As I am setting this up, it is trying to make me log in and pay for Marketing Event Management, which is an additional $30 per month. Is there a workaround for this? Thank you for your help so far!

The action Pam is referring to is an action that's provided by this HubSpot marketplace app, which seems like it does what you need, but although it's HubSpot certified, it's provided and built by a third party, not by HubSpot itself. They probably run the required API calls to perform this action through their own servers, hence the price.

HubSpot does not support a workflow action like this natively, funnily enough. I really don't understand why as it seems like such a no-brainer and easy follow-up to a registration form. If I was to go all native without API or development, I'd have to take my form submissions and register them to my Marketing Event manually, either one by one through the interface, or export them and then re-import them as event attendees.

Wondering if this feature is due to implemented? As it would be helpful to be able to create forms for marketing events which lead to direct registrations on a marketing event. Having to use a third party to get two HubSpot components to work together seems very unintuitive.

Yes it still exists, you probably can't access the link from Bob as his account ID is in the link he posted:

Simply remove 4623912 and add your own account ID instead, then the link should be functional.

If this does not work either search for "Marketing Event Management" on the market place.

This would be great! Either add as an option of form creation, or atleast be able to do this in a workflow. Trigger being form submission, action being add to event as Registration

Pam is referring to an action offered by a third-party HubSpot marketplace app. While it’s HubSpot certified, it isn’t built by HubSpot and likely uses its own servers to call the API, which explains the cost. Oddly, HubSpot doesn’t provide a native workflow action to do this. Without APIs or development, you’d have to manually add form submissions to your Marketing Event as attendees.

It's indeed infuriating that a simple field like that requires a third party. It should be such an easy thing to do in the system and was something I assumed Hubspot would have as a basic function. Instead, it bricks the Events marketing type.

Search marketing event in your product updates. It may take a days/weeks to get on it though, I'm still waiting

My clients and I love being in the beta!

When contacts will out a HubSpot form to RSVP to an event, I have a workflow that sends out Confirmation Emails but also now registers them to the Marketing Event!

Here's what it looks like in the beta:
