active/inactive

It is showing that we have this as an option but it is not showing up in the contacts account to make a contact Active/Inactive. It is also not showing up in the actions button where we can make a contact inactive.

How do we get this updated? In the screenshot it is showing that we have done it before, make accounts inactive.

Hi @CTimblin6,

This is not a default functionality – someone in your portal created a custom property 'Active/Inactive'. That's why it's not showing up in the dropdown.

You can place it in the left sidebar for easy access: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/customize-record-sidebars

Ok, thanks for that. Ultimatly I am trying to make contacts inactive vs deleting them. How do I make a contact inactive?

@CTimblin6 there is no such feature at the moment.

This is helpful. Then with the custom field we created. I was able to add it in to the left column. So we could add in active vs inactive correct? Then if we download the list will that field be exported? Also would we be able to filter by this field?

@CTimblin6 you would be, yes, it's simply that this field doesn't have any effect beyond storing the information about active / inactive. The CRM won't treat those contacts differently but yes, you'll be easily able to identify them via export, lists, filters, reports etc.
