      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm curious as to how HubSpot customers that use Business Units and the Salesforce Integration manage tracking lead status/lifecycle stages when there is cross-sell between Business Units. For example, we have a contact/company that is a customer of one Business Unit and a prospect of another. How do you set up your HubSpot properties so you can easily segment when a company is a prospect of one BU, a customer of another BU, and use the Salesforce Integration?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Some clients use the duplicate properties as shared in the comments - but it's not scalable. Often, companies continue to grow and add business units via acquisition. We recently worked with a client that continued to grow in this manner and had 16 versions of each key property (status, lifecycle stage, etc) and this became incredibly challenging to manage from an administrative standpoint.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When you're looking to track individual progress of leads across business units, we recommend shifting to &lt;A href="https://bit.ly/3pc3JAp" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Opportunity-Based Inquiry Management&lt;/A&gt;. This can easily sync between HubSpot and Salesforce and greatly simplifies reporting &amp;amp; user experience.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
