restricting access to marketing files

Silly question time...

How do I restrict access to Marketing Files for some users?

I don't want them deleting them or using them in unauthorized (inappropriate) ways.

Hey @spaulsen, thanks for reaching out!

If you go to Settings > Users and Teams > click on the specific user, you can toggle off Files access under the Marketing tab:

If Files is toggled off, then that user won't even see it as an option within the navigation and will not be able to access anything there.

that does prevent users from deleting files, however they can still see the files and get the url for them and have unauthorized use.

Are you aware of any way to restrict marketing Files from uses completely?

Hi @spaulsen

When you download a file into documents, you can hover over the title and click the "Actions" dropdown. One of the dropdown options is "manage sharing". There, you have three options: Only me, Everyone, and Specific Users and Teams. If you go to settings and create a "Marketing Team" that includes all the people you want to have access, you can grant only that team access to files!
