The test feature works well for single elements of the campaign.

We have simply choosen to have a second HubSpot instance, where we have most elements duplicated. Only exception is that the contacts are with emails for our domains only.

From our SaaS application (video learning platform) we then control which HubSpot instance we integrate with to trigger workflows, update contacts, update deals etc.

Not ideal, but makes it possible to make a complete test before we run in the real HubSpot instance.

Hey community,

Well, we've created a hubspot workflow containing multiple mailings and landingpages with different languages and smart modules (based on list memberships). We connected everything within a workflow. Now we want to test it as specific user. Sure, it's possible to send a single testmailing as a specific user. You can also view a landingpage through the eyes of a specific user. Everything seems to be correct.

But we want to got through the whole funnel. Starting from the very first initial mailing, over the landingpages, follow up mailings and so on.

Here's a problem. Using my own account won't work because somewhere cookies are stored. Even if i delete them - the smart modules at the landingspages won't show correctly. I guess it's because of some cookies being left.

Creating a brandnew Hubspot contact with the correct list membership also loads the wrong mailings and smart modules. Maybe because of cookies left.

We also tried in incognito mode of our browser, here we just get the default view. The user seems not be identified. I guess because of the lack of cookies in this case.

But how do YOU test a whole Campaign before you start it?

Or do you rely on single test mailings and single landingpage previews being offered by hubspot?

We use the workflow test feature -- if timings are NOT being tested.
- see image

HubSpot Contact Workflow TEST

-&/OR-

We signup from an incognito window (or separate browser) using a valid email alias that we can check -- if timings are being tested.
