Sandbox account for API development?

Hi,

I've built an app that has API integrations with most of the major ESPs and I'd like to add HubSpot to the list. My potential clients have HubSpot accounts but I do not. I had a chat with sales and they recommended I asked here for advice.

From what I can tell the free HubSpot account wouldn't give me access to the API to allow me to test my integration. Is that correct?

All I need is to be able to import an email into the Design Manager via the API, not send emails. I've written as much of the code as possible but I'm at the stage where I need to be able to test it.

Does anyone have any advice on how I'm able to test an API integration without signing up for a Marketing Hub Professional account?

Create a Developer's account and create test hubs would probably be your best option.

https://developers.hubspot.com/ (Create developer account button top right corner).

In your Developer account you can create test hubs with specific subscriptions which would allow you to test variations/permissions and whatnot. It's under Development -> Testing -> Test Accounts.
