New App Install Partner Flow

I recently got an email linking me to this page (https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/developer-platform/list-apps/understand-app-install-flow) to update my oauth flow for marketplace installs.

The docs say its an option to enable/disable. I think I want it on but, I cant find where to toggle this option.

Do I need to migrate my app from a legacy app to a project app for this to work? I have tried using the install urls from within the dev portal and also clicking on my existing marketplace link, and I dont get the step=auth or returnUrl parameters so am unable to test this.

Any help greatly appreciated

Just a heads-up: The "Sign-in configuration" option (which allows you to enable or disable partner sign-in) is currently available only for apps created after March 5th, 2025, in the app listing settings. If your app was created before that date, the new install flow might not be visible for you just yet.

A few helpful things to note:

- The step=auth and returnUrl parameters are part of this new partner install flow, which requires the sign-in configuration to be enabled.

- You’ll find this feature in the Listing info tab when editing your marketplace listing, under "Sign-in configuration."

- There’s no need to migrate to a project app for this to work, but your app does need to be created after March 5th, 2025, or you may need to wait until HubSpot rolls this out to older apps.

If your app was created before this date, you won’t see the new install flow parameters until HubSpot enables the feature for your app.
