Access Issues with Public App for Custom Code in Workflow

Hi Community,

We needed to generate sequential numbers for records, which HubSpot doesn't support by default.
We created a workflow with a custom code action to generate and assign the number.
We first used a private app for API access in the custom code.
We faced scope limitations with the private app, which blocked required permissions.
To overcome this, we created a public app with more flexible scope handling via OAuth.
While using the public app in the workflow, we encountered access/authentication errors.
The workflow custom code is currently unable to use the public app’s authentication, preventing the number generation from working.

what subscription(s) does the portal you are running this custom action in have access to?
did you test in an app test account? did it work there?

Sales hub Enterprise ( Trail Account)

did you test in an app test account? did it work there?

We actually trying this in Sand box environment

I guess all the above info is enough, if more info needed we are open to share
