Can HubSpot AI Agents connect with external MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers?

Hi HubSpot team,

I want to ask that does hubspot offers support for third party MCP servers ? Or does it allow direct connections from an AI Agent to external system?

If MCP/tool-calling isn’t supported yet, is there anyother way I can connect Hubspot AI agent with external systems, is this something on the roadmap for HubSpot AI Agents? As I couldn't find any documentation regarding this.

Hey, @umerfaisal 👋

You are correct, HubSpot AI Agents don't support connecting to external/third-party MCP servers. The existing MCP functionality works in the opposite direction— allowing external AI tools to connect TO HubSpot via the `@hubspot/mcp-server` package.

Just built exactly what you're describing—external MCP discovery that actually works in production.

95 auto-generated HubSpot tools, v4 APIs, custom objects, the works. Been running it with Claude Desktop for months while waiting for "official support."

The market isn't waiting for roadmaps. AI agents need bidirectional MCP handshakes NOW.
